[Sign-up Issue] Error when registering with email address (Google Authentication succeeded). Dify Cloud version

Hello everyone,

I am attempting to sign up for Dify (using the Cloud version), but I encountered an error when trying to register using my email address.

:police_car_light: The Problem Encountered

After entering my email address and clicking “Continue with verification code,” I immediately received the following error message, and the system did not proceed to send the verification code:

Error Message:

You don’t have the permission to access the requested resource. It is either read-protected or not readable by the server.

:white_check_mark: Steps Taken & Successful Workaround

  1. Tested Different Environments:

    • Cleared browser cache.

    • Attempted using Incognito/Private mode.

    • Tested on different browsers (Chrome, Firefox).

    • The same error occurred in all instances.

  2. Successful Workaround:

    • Subsequently, I tried signing up using Google Account authentication, which succeeded without any issues. I am now able to use Dify.

:red_question_mark: My Question

Since Google authentication worked, it confirms a server access is possible. However, if I wish to register new accounts solely via email in the future, how can I bypass or resolve this specific error?

I would appreciate any insights into whether this error is related to:

  • My network/browser configuration.

  • A known issue with Dify’s email verification flow on the Cloud version.

  • Specific server or permission settings.

If you want to sign up with email, you just need to use the signin page instead https://cloud.dify.ai/signin, it will register and login into your account automatically.
